He (don’t) Have A Dream

His name is on a street in almost every burg, town and city in this Country.

OH! I’m sorry, I let my mind wander before I started. Here I was thinking of our POTUS, you know, the one with a new Plan Zero every day, the POTUS with no clear destination in mind for our Domestic or Foreign Affairs? He who lies with some regularity about his past, his present and his future?

That POTUS, not the preacher. He had a dream. POTUS only has an empty reflection from his mirror. Of course, his apparant lack of leadership could be just because he doesn’t have any of those new, green, solar-powered teleprompters. Maybe that will make a difference. Him and Algore need to discuss that.

He has a problem! He needs to lead! Of course, that is hard to do when you can’t even follow.

Now, Behind Door #1, Lead
          Behind Door #2, Follow
Behind Door #3, Get out of the way

Behind Door #4 (I know, only 3 allowed…) Obfuscate, Lie and Confuse, while showing a total lack of leadership, common sense or anything else resembling activities engaged in by a rational human being.

Which oh which door will POTUS choose? Based on current and past performance,  Door #4, of course.

The liberal progressives claim that Eric Cantor and other GOP leaders walking out of the useless “budget” talks today are pandering to the tea party and conservative members of their base.

So, why did they walk out? Simple. The Democratic  “grown-ups” believe that the only way to reduce our budget deficit is to spend more and raise taxes. And they (the Dim-o-crats) think Lindsay Lohan is a dumb bimbo?

Pop quiz: Who said “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.  Americans deserve better.”
If you guessed Eric Cantor, Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman or John Boehner, you would be wrong.

Correct answer: Barack H. Obama, spoken in the Senate in March 2006.

My, how times change. However, I, like the guy with a street almost everywhere named after him, have a dream.

let us all vote to throw the bastards out of office.
